As Demand manager, you are responsible for a timely and quality consolidated regional sales forecast (on a min. 3 product seasons horizon) to supply & production in order to secure customer demand and operational excellence.
You will work closely with various stakeholders (a.o. Sales teams, Product Managers and Finance) to manage the forecasting and demand management process, including preparation of data. You will monitor, report and improve forecast accuracy throughout the whole process.
In this role you manage and maintain the forecasting and demand management process by constantly reviewing and updating Sales forecast, validating it against the business strategy, and balancing it against the available supply. You initiate the first high level regional forecasts (both long range and short range) based on history and expectations, checked with Global and Regional product managers, in line with supply chain and campaign calendars. Furthermore, you match and connect the forecasts with financial budget and 5 year plan (volume) and you communicate the forecast with all involved departments. As part of your job you drive process improvements, simplification and standardization in the forecasting and demand management. You will also form a group of expertise with your Demand manager colleagues from other regions (Europe distribution and North America).
To succeed in this role, you have at least a Bachelor degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent knowledge gained through proven experience. You understand Demand Planning, and you can use forecasting techniques in your daily work. As you will work in an international environment, you have excellent communication and presentation skills in English and Dutch. Additional knowledge of other languages (French, German) is a plus. Having knowledge about SAP is an advantage, and it is important that you have affinity to the Flowers industry.
